Heather "Survive Anything" Broeker
After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in journalism and advertising and a degree in film production, Heather faced a difficult decision: move to NYC to work for an advertising firm or take an internship in Hollywood. She chose Hollywood and later landed her first job at Fox Searchlight where she promoted such films as Napoleon Dynamite, Garden State and the Academy-Award winning, Sideways.
She then moved on to work in production and talent coordination for shows such as 9 on the Town, Reality Remix and more. During that time, she pursued freelance writing and launched a few blogs such as SurviveTheCity.com. But when the opportunity arose to move to New York to work as a Marketing Director, Heather didn't hesitate at the chance to try out the Big Apple and her love for writing. And while she got to work with companies such as Men's Health, Vanity Fair and Double Click, Heather longed for the outdoor life associated with Southern California.
In the June of 2007 she returned to Los Angeles and has since launched Head Over Heels, worked on a number of short films and online commercials, and, of course, finds the time to surf, bike, ski and hike any chance she can get.
Heather has completed three half marathons, a fifty-mile bike ride in Mexico and in February of 2008, climbed Mt. Whitney; the tallest mountain in the continental U.S. But we've been telling her that her head is in the clouds well before that.
Andrew "Italian Stallion" Rossillo
Andrew considers himself an ace of all trades; both in business and life in general. Why an ace? Because aces are cooler than jacks, of course.
Andrew's a NY transplant loving all that Sunny San Diego has to offer, especially because his upstate NY red neck blends in with the tanned necks of native San Diegans.
Ever since the first love poem he wrote in sixth grade, Andrew's had quite a passion for writing. He started Peerless Perceptions in 2005 and has been writing freelance copy, managing writers and providing marketing consultations ever since. He's written copy for Radio Shack, Best Buy, John Assaraf, StubHub and has read books by best-selling authors.
During his downtime (about 10 minutes each day), you can find him playing soccer or laughing at people when they fall down. He aspires to write a successful novel, works almost as hard at making people laugh as he does for The Writer's Rep, and is on a continuing quest of self-improvement for the benefit of himself and all those he comes into contact with. As part of that, he'd like to remind you that you're all amazing and that you have infinite potential.
Andrew is a hope-filled romantic who has ridden a camel in Morocco; taught English in Madrid and ran with the bulls in Pamplona.
Chad "Chastrodamus" Winger
Chad's one of those guys that you can count on to get it right the first time...on the third try. We're kidding! We like to give him a hard time because he's such a perfectionist. And because he listens to way more Frank Sinatra than someone his age should. But beneath his onward and upward mentality, he's a down-to-earth kind of guy who you can absolutely depend on.
Plus, he's a true entrepreneur. Back in 2004, Chad started Yanks Abroad, a journalistic soccer site with reporters in 12 countries who cover American soccer players that play in the top leagues overseas. If you talk to Chad on the phone, we dare you to call it futbol and see how he reacts.
Chad brings in some big name experience of his own, having worked at Clear Channel Communications in addition to two and half years at IBM. While there, he worked on the Deep Blue project. And no, it doesn't get any dorkier than that.
You'd never guess it from how boring this guy is, but he actually lived in Italy for eight and a half years. He was motivated to learn Italian fluently and was later able to con a beautiful Italian woman to move back stateside with him, get married and eventually produce offspring - an incredible daughter born in April 2008.
Of course, he almost never made it back to the U.S. after accidentally finding himself on the grounds of Buckingham Palace when trying to find a shortcut through St. James' Park to the subway station. He was able to outrun the guards.
