TWR Payment Policy

Attention TWR Writers.  Starting February 15th, 2011, The Writer's Rep will be enforcing its new 2011 payment policy.  Details are as follows.

TAX/1099 - All writers who intend to write for TWR must complete this form for tax purposes. This form and its contents are not shared with anyone outside of TWR accounting and is password protected for your safety.  You will not be issued a 1099 unless you earn more than $600 during the 2011 tax year, but we require this information to be kept on file.  Those who have not completed the form by 2/15/11 risk delayed payments.

Payment Type- All invoices will now be processed via PayPal.  We will no longer be issuing checks as of 2/15/11.

Invoicing - All invoices must be made within the Paypal invoicing feature and sent to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .   Please include your full name and the word "invoice" as your subject line (e.g. Heather Broeker Invoice).

Select "Request Money" tab from PayPal's main navigation bar, then select "Create Invoice."  Your invoice should include the title of the project (this is given to you as the SUBJECT LINE of your email containing the assignment), the number of articles and words per article, and the total price for the project.  This is conveniently broken down for you within the invoice since you can put in different article quantities and their corresponding rates.  It will then add up the total for you.

Invoicing Approval/Payments - In order to be processed, invoices must be submitted on or before that month's processing date (either the 1st or 15th of each month) and your assignment must be fully completed before you invoice.  Processing an invoice DOES NOT mean it will be paid right away; it simply means we receive the invoice, crosscheck with your work, and confirm your work has been approved.  Therefore, payment may not be made until the following date.  As an example, if you complete a project on February 17th and submit an invoice on February 18th, the invoice will be processed on March 1st and the payment will likely be made on March 1st.  If, however, you were to submit the same invoice on March 1st, while it would be processed March 1st, it likely wouldn't be paid until March 15th.  NOTE: processing dates (the 1st or the 15th) falling on holidays and weekends are subject to a 1-3 day delay.

NEED WORK?

Please reply to this email if you're seeking new projects.  Remember, to remain on our roster of writers you must complete at least two projects per month (even if they're small ones!).

Thank you for contributing to a successful TWR team!

Sincerely,
Andrew and Heather
